In Style
We'll admit it. We've seen a couple episodes of Gossip Girl (This probably stems from our longing for the good old days of the original 90210.) and while we've watched it for the clothes more than anything, some of the room sets have us a bit intrigued...
Production designer, Loren Weeks, tells In Style magazine, "[Serena's] room shows a confident, eclectic mix of funky new and classic vintage items...I wanted it to express her character: effortlessly beautiful and self-assured.”
For a character as ritzy as Serena van der Woodsen, we're surprised how low key her room is. True, some of the pieces are quite expensive, but overall nothing too crazy. To achieve a similar look, add some silver pillows, an acrylic lamp, a gold accent here and there and you're on your way.
